If you're very used to those really brooding Alphas, one that isn't dark and broody is going to seem Beta, even if he's not. I hadn't thought of that! The MH hero does sort of seem that way to me at times, but maybe that's because he just doesn't react quite the same as a Modern hero. I'm not sure!
