Great reminders, Lynn. Thanks for sharing them. I love the b and d finger spread trick. What got me at the meeting was how to eat your bread. I’ve obviously been doing that one wrong for years. Geez!

The tip I heard to remember which items are yours is BMW – like the car. B comes first on your left for bread. M is in the middle for meal (your main plate). W is on the right for water.

Great reminder. The most important thing I remembered was to be kind and act like you’re a hostess in your corner of the world wherever you are–include those who are obviously alone when you are in a big crowd.

I had a friend at National explain it this way. Put hands on table (not elbows) and touch middle finger to thumb and point pointer finger. Left hand looks like a B, right hand looks like a D, so left is bread, right is drink.

you can also do this on your lap and no one will see you do it. LOL

Thanks for the reminder Lynn. I went to a banquet recently and wished I’d looked it up again. No one at the table knew which plate or glass to use, so we decided as a group.
